Four teens arrested after live-streaming police chase in allegedly stolen Audi

Four teenagers have been charged after allegedly leading police on a chase through multiple suburbs while live-streaming it on social media.

Weaving in and out of traffic in an Audi that had been reported stolen, it was the latest alleged offence as Queensland tries to crack down on youth crime.

The black Audi S3 was allegedly stolen from a home in the Brisbane suburb of Bardon in the early hours of Saturday.

Once it was reported, authorities were able to track the location of the vehicle and pursue it in a police helicopter.

“Polair was used to track the vehicle and the vehicle continued to drive, throughout Logan, Pine Rivers, and throughout north and south Brisbane,” acting Detective Superintendent Craig Williams said.

“While the offenders were still being pursued by police they were live-streaming from the vehicle, and one of the juvenile offenders was making threats to commit further offences,” he added.
